Chairman of the Board of Directors
Josef Fischer is a thoroughbred entrepreneur with more than 40 years of experience in agriculture. After completing his training he successfully established a feed production company, which has now become a respected player in the Swiss feed industry. In targeting growth along the value chain he directed the company into a leading position in the feed industry. He is also responsible for several more agricultural and real estate business projects at home and abroad. These multifaceted and successful ventures render him a competent and pragmatic partner, whose creativity is an important asset of our business strategy.
Chief Executive Officer
Marco Fischer studied business management focusing on finance and international management. In addition he is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He started his management career as a director in investment banking and wealth management in one of Switzerland’s largest international leading banks, where he worked for almost 15 years. In 2008 Marco Fischer was sent to Asia, where he spent the first 4 years in Hong Kong and the 2 following years in Singapore. The experience he gained in the Asian/international environment and his management skills ideally qualify him to implement the ambitious corporate objectives of the KMC Group.
Chief Financial Officer
Jan Fischer completed his degree in economics (lic. oec. publ.) at the University of Zurich with honours. His focus was corporate finance. He started his professional career with the consultancy firm BearingPoint in Zurich, where he was responsible for different consultancy mandates as a senior management analyst. In 2008 Jan Fischer started to work at the CFO department of Credit Suisse. There he first held office as a regional controller for the EMEA and Swiss regions before he changed into business controlling. During his time at the major Swiss bank he also acquired excellent project management skills. In addition, Jan Fischer gained more than 5 years of experience as a member of the Management Board responsible for finance at a non-profit association (Pflegekinder-Aktion Zurich) with an annual revenue of more than CHF 2.5 m.
Chief Quality Officer
Tanjä Fässler earned her Bachelor of Science in Food with a major in Food and Nutrition in Germany. After her studies, she held various positions in Quality management. Bevor joining KMC Group as Chief Quality Officer (CQO) in 2015, she worked several years at Bonatura AG in Switzerland as a deputy Head Quality Management.
